Scroll down and find out what we are all about!
The idea behind MoodCrawler started from a simple question that has always followed us: ‘What do people need to be happy?’. The most common answer is, without surprise: money. But since money is just a tool and not the purpose of the journey, what makes us really happy is the satisfaction we get from helping others.
So, we took these two ingredients, money and empathy, we mixed them together and we got MoodCrawler.
MoodCrawler is a platform that facilitates and rewards positive human interaction. It is a platform that brings together like-minded people and creates an environment in which users present problems and offer solutions. This problem-solving process between two or more users generates value that translates into a reward system.
Why would we need MoodCrawler? Simple! Because a good and positive collective mood can totally change our lives. We need it because we live in an unhappy world and we can all work together to fix that.
What if you could access a vast pool of solutions, tailored specifically to your problems? All you would have to do is ask a question, explain a situation or simply request a helping hand. And what if you would be presented with a list of problems that you could easily solve, thanks to your individual expertise and experience – and know that you would make someone’s life much better? And on top of that, you would get rewarded for your involvement. Would you offer your help? We think the answer is “yes”.
What will be the result of a whole community, acting this way? We will all benefit from this and live much easier lives.
The easiest way to explain the process is to look at an interaction scenario facilitated by the platform. Of course, this is only an example of a possible situation, there are endless other possibilities.
“User A” posts his mood on the platform (let’s say it’s a bad one: sad) and presents the problem that created his current bad mood: he planned to have a road trip tomorrow but his car broke down; he doesn’t have the money or the time to visit a mechanic;
“User B” reads the post (he is presented with a constant feed of existing problems that apply to his area of expertise: he used to work as a mechanic) and contacts “User A” and guides him through the process of identifying and repairing the faulty part. Problem solved.
“User C” reads the post (he is presented with a constant feed of existing problems based on his location) and realizes that both him and “User A” live on the same street. He offers “User A” his car, that sits in the garage, unused. After all, what are neighbors for, right? Problem solved.
“User A” has now solutions to his problem. His mood has changed from “sad” to “happy”. It took little effort from “User B” and “User C” to turn his frown upside down. It is that easy, small things can go a long way.
Solving the problem is only half of the process on MoodCrawler. It is now time for “User B” and “User C” to get rewarded for their good deeds. Want to find out more? Join our slack channel
So let’s take a look at the Reward System.
Mood me UP!
This is where the cryptocurrency comes in. The platform pays users for helping each other out (solving problems that others posted on the platform). For that, following the Proof Of Stake protocol, we created the “MoodCoin” (creative, right?), a cryptocurrency that once listed will be convertible into Bitcoin and any other traditional currency.
So yes, we are talking about real money. It’s simple and straightforward: as more people join our community, the more MoodCoins they get, the more valuable the MoodCoin gets. Active, helpful users drive up the value of the platform’s currency. It’s a win-win situation, right? And the growth of both the community and the value of the coin will be organic and exponential.
As the community grows and more and more people will earn, talk about and use MoodCoin, shops and other businesses will start to see MoodCoin as an accepted alternative to online payment systems. The beauty and security of the blockchain tech behind the curtain will only reinforce that.
We do envision businesses like Dunkin’ Donuts, for example accepting MoodCoin payment as a fun and easy way of buying that fav donut you can grab on your way to work or Starbucks accepting MoodCoin as a secondary payment system.Find out more!
The Story, The Store, the Stop and the Sim
Share your story. Everyone had experiences or went through things that others might learn from. It might be a success story, a story about a life-changing event or something much more common, but you never know who’s life you are going to influence in a positive way just by talking about it and writing it down.
Storytelling is one of the most effective ways of sharing information because we are all programmed to look for stories in everything to better understand the world. MoodStory will act like a library of stories that anyone can read through, find meaning, and learn from. The authors will be compensated using the same MoodCoin reward system for sharing stories that are meaningful and have a positive impact on other users lives. We are not all writers, but we are all storytellers and we all have experiences to share that others might have something to gain from. Now that’s a story, isn’t it?
Think about MoodStops as checkpoints, the only difference is that you are not in a timed race and you can choose between getting through them or not. Ok, maybe that was a bad comparison. MoodStops are in fact your favorite places. A coffee shop, a lounge, a movie theater, a bookstore, you name it.
From the moment you find yourself in one of these MoodStop locations, the platform will notify you, and starting from that point, you will receive MoodCoins for every minute spent there.
Think about it this way: the coffee shop owner is a MoodCrawler member – he supports the community by helping others. We then support his business by offering MoodCoins to his clients. The clients get the coffee that they came for, but also get a bonus, some free money in the process. The owner gets more clients, the clients get more than they pay for, the MoodCoin gets stronger and more valuable – you get the picture, remember that win-win situation?
And you don’t have to do anything but continue to visit your favorite places in town, except maybe suggesting a favorite place of your own.
The MoodStore is the community’s playing ground. Here, the users can get awesome MoodCrawler merchandise, with new things arriving every month. The users will be able to make requests and we will try to set up everything so that they can get whatever it is they want, directly from our store. Also, this is the place where users can trade their own products, set up prices and organize shops. Of course, the currency used is the MoodCoin.
The MoodSim is just another way of keeping the good things coming for the MoodCrawler community. It’s a SIM card that says: “let’s mood up your roaming costs”. When you are traveling around the globe, spreading the good, you don’t have to worry about extra roaming costs.
The MoodSim will take care of that. The platform keeps you connected to your friends and family using the SIM card and the MoodChat app. You will be able to send unlimited text messages to anyone and cut unintentional and unwanted data traffic significantly. Need more than text messaging? Just upgrade to a multimedia plan and you can start sharing videos, pictures and make video calls. And you don’t need to pay a dime if you have some MoodCoins in your wallet.
And that’s only scratching the surface. Imagine all the possibilities. So stay tuned, there’s plenty to be excited about…
